Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The actress began her career in the 80s before coming to prominence with her performance in the Tezaab film, in which she was a part of the cast alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Early on, as a teenager in the middle class of Mumbai, she started to dance. As a teenager she started acting, and struggled for years because most of her early films failed. Then she found her way to success and she became one of the most well-known actresses in the Indian film industry. Following her wedding, she took a break from her acting career until she returned. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award awarded to civilians in India was awarded to her. Social work by her is well-known.
